The National Green Tribunal is the key organization, which is aggressively promoting the practice of covered coal storage along with the state environment authorities. With the growing concern about the environmental hazards affecting to open storage, it is becoming a fixed requisite to cover these stock piles. The loss of coal due to erosion, wind & loss of Gross Calorific Value can be reduced by adopting covered storage. It is Cost effective & ecological solution for Bulk Storage of Coal.
To keep all this in mind we conceptualize the design of structure in Barrel Space Frame (Curved Space Frame) structure, for one of the most efficient & environment friendly Cement Companies in India Shree Cement to set up their greenfield manufacturing facility at Baloda Bazaar near Raipur. The scope of the contract comprised the design, fabrication, supply & erection of more than 3,182 MT of pre-engineered steel buildings composite columns with arch truss tubular pipe & its relevant substructures. This structure have a multi-span of 65M & 70M each, with height of 36M as per plant requirement. The material can be loaded using stackers & tripper cars from above.
