Akilan Sankara

Managing Director

Akilan was appointed Managing Director of Zamil Steel India effective from 1 ^st January 2022. He previously held position in Saudi Arabia as the General Manager of Zamil Pre Engineered Buildings Company Ltd, Building Component Solutions LLC, and Zamil Structural Steel Company Ltd.

Akilan graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and completed his Master's from NIT Trichy, specializing in Welding Engineering.

He brings 28 years of wealthy experience and long association with Zamil Steel, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). His outstanding contribution in various strategic and top leadership role includes managing diverse business verticals such as Pre-Engineered Buildings, Sandwich Panels, Structural Steel, Pressure Vessels and Transmission & Telecom Towers.

Akilan's business acumen, global industry connects, dealing with major national and international customers and continual customer focus will benefit Zamil Steel India to rise to the next level.

His professional certifications include European Engineer by FEANI-Brussels, Professional Engineer by Engineering Council of UK, Manager of Quality & Organizational Excellence (CQM) and Quality Engineer (CQE) by American Society of Quality (ASQ).

He is an active member of several renowned national & international associations like Institution of Engineers (India), American Welding Society (AWS), American Society of Quality (ASQ), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE, USA), American Society of NDT (ASNT) and the Welding Institute (UK).

Puneet Mathur

Assistant Managing Director

Puneet has joined Zamil Steel as Assistant Managing Director in July 2022, responsible for Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Construction and Engineering Functions.

Puneet carries a rich experience of 28 years in steel industries starting from hot rolling mill, processing line and pre-engineered buildings. He has worked with renowned companies like JSW, Kirby and Tata BlueScope.

He has completed his education in B.E Electronics from Shivaji University and he is alumnus of IMS Calcutta.

Dipankar Dey

Senior Director - Operations

Dipankar, a Civil Engineering graduate from NIT (REC) Durgapur. Dey has 22+ years of rich and diverse experience in the business of construction of bridge, cargo berth, commercial mall, car manufacturing facility, airport hangar, pre-engineered buildings, structural steel building & solutions.

He has started his career with Skanska and prior to joining Zamil Steel, he has served at ITD Cementation, Shapoorji Pallonji and Tata BlueScope Steel at various levels.

He was instrumental in establishing integrated project execution, contract management through system integration and digital service transformation. His area of specialization includes general management, overall business administration, employee empowering towards organization goal, system centric business alignment.

Dipankar was appointed Senior Director - Operations in July 2022. Prior to that, he was Director - Sales, Marketing & Business Development and Director - Project Management of Zamil Steel India.

Vasudev Srinivasarao

Director - Engineering

Vasudev is working as Director - Engineering and has responsibility for complete Engineering Operations of Zamil Steel India.

An Engineering graduate in Civil Engineering from Karnatak University, he is also graduate at Law & PGDBM from IGNOU. He is also a member of Institute of Engineers, Kolkata. He is with Zamil Steel for over 5 years and is a responsible Senior Engineering professional with 30+ years' varied experience in the fields of Pre-Engineered Buildings, Oil & Gas, Chemical/Petro-Chemical, Power, Textile, Fertilizer, Infrastructure, EPC Projects. He is adept at developing and implementing business strategies to improve operations efficiency. Committed to motivating & grooming staff to achieve goals while ensuring efficient project progress.

Apart from ensuring quality in design & detailed engineering to the internal & external stake holders, he is guiding team with technical issues & drive the projects for completion as desired. Ensuring firm schedules for quotes, Design & Detailing compliance with operations, he has implemented efficient cost management ideas & methods and systems in Engineering.

He is instrumental in leading designing of various complex Engineering projects at Zamil Steel, and are enlisted in infrastructure magazine regularly.

Ravi Kumar Bajaj

Director Finance & Company Secretary

Ravi is a qualified Chartered Account from ICAI, New Delhi, Company Secretary from ICSI, New Delhi, Cost Accountant from ICMA, Kolkata and holds Bachelor degree of Commerce from Calcutta University.

Ravi has 23+ years of rich & varied experience across various industry segments, having started his professional career with Hyderabad Industries Ltd. He has also worked at various senior management positions for Suzlon Enegry Ltd, Reliance Infocomm Ltd, Marvel Realtors and prior to joining Zamil group, Ravi was the Deputy CFO of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys.

In his professional assignments, Ravi has implemented global best practices in Finance and Controlling, with deep insight on business process in diverse business segments spread across geographies, of listed entities and PE driven family owned business. Key assignments handled by him over the years includes Fund Raising from Banks & Private Equity Players, Financial Reporting of Listed Entities, Tax Structuring, Controlling and ERP implementation.

Based on this professional skill, Ravi shoulders additional responsibility, as Finance Head of Zamil Steel Engineering Services and Zamil Information Technology, in addition to his current responsibilities as Director Finance of Zamil Steel India.

Pulin Trivedi

Director - Project Execution

Pulin is a Civil Engineer from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, 1991 batch and has more than 31 years of rich experience in project management & execution and holds a Master of Environmental Protection degree from International Independent Ecological-Political University, Moscow, Russia.

Pulin has held multiple leadership roles across functions in the organizations since 1991 getting deep exposure to the core Pre-Engineering industry, managing stakeholders and high-level management. Prior to joining Zamil Steel India, he has worked with Tata BlueScope Steel Pvt. Ltd. as General Manager Building Solution Division and he also worked at Tiger Steel Engineering (I) Pvt Ltd.

He has rich experience across Sales, Project Management & Construction functions in Pre-Engineering industry and was instrumental in developing strategies for enhancing customer satisfaction and DIFOT – Delivery in full and on time for PEB segments, including implementation of Theory of Constraint concept in PEB Business.

Pulin oversaw the transition of manual to mechanized work methodology in PEB construction, emphasizing safe working with "zero harm" policy. He has rich experience in techno-commercial functions and successfully managed PEB projects for various segments of MNCs and Indian corporate clients.

Sajan Joseph

Director - Operations

Mr. Sajan Joseph Joined to Zamil Steel India as Director Operations since March 2022, Sajan is a Mechanical Engineer with around 30 years of vast experience from Gulf sector from leading manufacturing companies Such as Belleli Saudi, AMA Bahrain, Eversendai Qatar, Kirby Dubai, IBSF Riyadh, MISA Saudi, AGN Kuwait, AlDerley Saudi, and more than 10 years of working with Zamil Steel Mother plants at Dammam Saudi at Structural steel Division and Process Equipment Division.

He was holding different level of top role responsibilities such as Engineer, Superintendent, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, Division Manager, DGM Operations, GM Operations etc.

Before the gulf sector, he was working in India for 7 years in the field of Oil & Gas - Drilling Jackets & Decks, Petrochemicals - Fabrication, Construction, Shutdown & Maintenance fields.

He brings 37 years of wealthy experience and long association with Zamil steel Dammam, His outstanding contribution in various strategic and top leadership role includes managing diverse business verticals such as PEB, Sandwich Panels, Structural steels, High rise & Airport Building structural, Process Equipment’s, Heat Exchangers, Air coolers, Oil Storage tanks, Oil fired Heaters, Oil & Gas - Petro chemical field Piping works, Modular Skids, Oil & Gas Metering skids, Oil & Gas, Jackets & Decks, Aluminum Smelter plants, Petro chemical plants Shut down & Maintenance etc.

Sagar N Karule

Senior Manager - Marketing

Sagar’s education in Business Administration aligns with his marketing acumen. He has completed his Master’s in Business Administration (Branding & Advertising) from Deakin University, Melbourne after completing his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Marketing). He carries a versatile experience in marketing of 10+ years.

Sagar is a staunch follower of integrated marketing techniques and believes that offline and online platforms and tools are equally effective in the industry. He has a vast experience in Brand Management, Campaign Management, Advertising and Event Management. He is a certified digital marketing professional with a track record of conceptualizing and aggressively implementing digital marketing initiative spanning SEM, SEO, SMM, SMO and ORM.

His extroverted and creative nature is the responsible for his innovative and collaborative approach.

Sheetal Sawant

Deputy General Manager - Human Capital & Systems

Sheetal is currently the Deputy General Manager - Human Capital & Systems for Zamil Steel India, she joined the company in 2017 as Manager – Human Capital. She has developed and implemented HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. She has detail-oriented mindset to handle the changing nature of the workforce.

Experienced and self-motivated professional in Human Resource with 17 years of manufacturing industry experience, and working to implement programs and changes that enhance the company. Knowledgeable about employment laws and effective organizational planning. Highly competent communicator skilled in developing initiatives that improve company profitability and organizational growth. Bringing forth a proven track record of successfully managing Human Resource efforts and leading teams to work toward company goals.

Sheetal holds Bachelor’s degree in Science from Pune University and Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. She is certified professional in Organizational Development and HR Analytics.

Sumit Bathla

Deputy General Manager - Internal Audit, Risk Management & Compliance

Sumit is heading the Internal Audit department at Zamil Steel Building India Pvt Ltd. He is a seasoned Internal Auditor & Finance professional with over 16 years of rich experience in India & Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar) across finance & operations domains like Treasury Management, FP&A, Risk Assurance, Compliance, and Internal Audit. He has worked across varied industries like Manufacturing, Construction, Solar, Telecom, BPO/KPO, & IT.

Sumit is highly skilled in Governance, Risk Assessment, Compliance, SOX designing, Implementing the System, Forensic assignments, Special Investigation, Fraud Investigation, Policies & Internal Controls. He also specialized in operational and management audits including SOP developments.

He has strong professional experience with practical and effective audits, risk mitigation strategies, internal control & risk function to escalate existing proficiency level for the Growth & Development of the company.

Saurabh Shaha

Head - Order Management

Saurabh is a Mechanical Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional from NICMAR.

As the Head of the Order Management Department at Zamil Steel, Saurabh oversees project management, ensures timely project deliveries, drives business growth, and manages P&L. He brings extensive experience in project management, covering areas such as project coordination, contract management, planning, execution, change management, contract closure, and operations.

Previously, Saurabh served as a Project Manager, successfully delivering mega projects ranging from 3,000 to 25,000 MT for clients in the power, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. He has significant international project delivery experience, having worked on projects from concept to commissioning. His dynamic approach consistently elevates project outcomes.

Saurabh has made notable contributions to strategic planning, operational efficiency, and team effectiveness. His leadership and innovative methods have been instrumental in achieving organizational goals and leading a team of professionals. Sunil Kumar Yadav

General Manager - Institutional Sales

Sunil is a Mechanical Engineer graduated from JNC, Maharashtra and have further post-graduation specialized in Marketing and Finance from SIU Pune, Maharashtra.

Having 15+ year of enriching experiences in diversified industries. Started the career in 2005 from CBS Technology Pvt Ltd where he played a vital role in establishing the innovative technology of filtration in various industries in India. He entered in the world of PEB by joining Vardhman Group in 2007 as Sr. Manager in Sales and promoted as National Head in 2010. During this span he has established himself as an inspiring icon in the PEB industry by serving various renowned brands before joining Zamil Steel India in 2014 as Regional Sales Manager - Institutional Sales for promoting and handling Government sector projects and with his passion, integrity and dedication shown since he joined Zamil Steel India, he has been promoted as Head - Institutional Sales in 2017.

Srinivasa Rao K

General Manager - Sales (Telangana & AP)

Srinivasa Rao graduated as a Civil Engineer from Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada and won University Gold Medal. Completed his Master’s from IIT, Kanpur, specializing in Structural Engineering. He Holds M.B.A (Marketing) from ICFAI University, Dehradun.

Have 23 years of Professional experience in PEB, Structural Steel working with Kirby Building Systems and Structures India Pvt Ltd and handled distinguished projects in Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Energy, Infrastructure, FMCG, Building Materials, Heavy Engineering, Multi-Storeyed Buildings, MES and Government Sectors.

Certified Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India). He is a member of Several Professional Societies like Indian Geotechnical Society, Indian Society for Earthquake Technology, to name a few.

Arunkumar Singh

General Manager - Sales (West)

Arunkumar holds an engineering degree from Pune University and a postgraduate degree in Marketing and Business Management from Symbiosis.

Arunkumar has 22+ years of rich and varied experience in the metal building industry in India and the Middle East, with roles in pre-engineered steel buildings, high rise, and specialised data centres. Offsite prefabricated structural steel residential buildings.

Arunkumar previously worked for Tata Bluescope, Zamil Steel, Interarch Buildings, North West Engineering (Oman), and JSW Severfield Structures before returning to Zamil Steel Buildings India in 2022 as GM Sales & Business Development - West.

Since 2000, he has played an important role in shaping the pre-engineered steel building and structural steel market in India. His involvement with the use of prefabricated steel in metros, flyovers, bridges, power plants, and the private sector.

As a business leader, he has a proven track record of motivating his team to rise to the occasion, and as an outcome, he has always delivered on the organization's expectations.

Girish C

General Manager - Sales (South)

Girish is a Mechanical Engineer from BMS Institute of Technology, college in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

He has 15+ years of rich & varied experience across various industry segments and close to 12 years of experience in steel building industry alone, having started his professional career with Rittal India (Friedhelm Loh Group).

Girish has worked at various senior & management positions for Kirby Building Systems India and Zamil Steel Buildings India, he was the Key Account Manager of Fire Pro Systems before joining again with Zamil Steel Buildings India in 2021.

As a General Manager - Sales & Business Development (South), a dedicated outcome-oriented sales professional with focus on customer centric relationship and helping organisation grow in sustained environment. Pankaj A Tahiliani

Head - Sales (West)

Pankaj, a civil engineer with 19 years of diversified experience in Sales, Business Development & Project Management for Pre-Engineered Buildings, Turnkey construction of Industrial and Residential projects. Having a proven track record of excellent performance, achieving the business targets, and successfully delivering the projects.

Before joining Zamil Steel family in 2012, he worked with Tata BlueScope Steel and Interarch Building Products. He started his career with Diebold Systems India in 2005. He has rich experience of 15+ years in Pre-Engineered Building industry working in diverse capacities.

He is a seasoned leader capable of motivating, training & developing the team effectively and mapping their growth plan with embracing work enthusiasm.

Experienced in handling key accounts of multi-national corporates with excellent communication & customer relationship skills resulting in customer satisfaction and repeat orders.

As a Head - Sales & Business Development (West), he is successfully managing & developing high performing sales team of 15 people at Western & Central India (Maharashtra & Gujarat).
