The Steel & Metallurgy Magazine recently conducted a webinar on "Indian Steel Industry - Raw Materials, Technology and Markets in the New Normal Era". The honorable Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Minister of MSME, Nitin Gadkari, was the Chief Guest of this webinar. Alakesh Roy, Managing Director of Zamil Steel Buildings India and General Director of Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam was on the panel amongst other renowned stalwarts from Indian and overseas Steel industry, as panelists.
In his presentation, Alakesh Roy stressed his views on "the opportunities of Steel", where Zamil Steel is maximizing long-term value creation in the steel industry through the integrated design and manufacturing processes. Our preparedness towards navigating the new normal era demands a lot from us in terms of our capabilities, experience, innovation, and technological advancement to overcome these challenges. At Zamil Steel India, we are trying to align both our suppliers as well as the customers towards comprehensive integration in terms of standards and offerings and delivering the essence of 'Cost saving through Design'.
He also stated that "supply chain push is not enough to increase the demand for steel. Steel consumption will not increase as it is, without having a purpose or target towards such consumptions."
